To get the forecast, radar, air quality, pollen and tides for that place
Sent as coordinates to the weather services that supply the forecast, radar, air quality and tides, such as Apple Weather. They get the place, not who you are. We don't store your location history.

🔔Alerts & Live Activities
Rain and severe weather alerts, and Live Activities that update while the app is closed, are sent by a small server we run on Cloudflare, with a database hosted by Turso. When you turn these features on, the app sends it:
- an Apple push token: a random identifier from Apple that lets us deliver notifications to your device. It doesn't identify you.
- the place you get alerts for: its name, coordinates and time zone, and whether it follows your device's location
- your alert preferences, such as which alerts are on and how early to warn you about rain
- for Live Activities, a Live Activity push token and display settings such as units
The server uses this only to check the forecast for your place and send the alerts you asked for, through Apple's Push Notification service. It keeps a short record of which alerts were sent, so you don't get the same one twice. When you move with device location on, the stored place is updated to your current place; earlier places aren't kept.
📺Ads, only if needed
Our aim is for Weather360 to have no ads at all. To help cover running costs, the free version may occasionally show ads from Google AdMob.
When ads appear, Google's software may collect information such as your IP address, device type, operating system, app version and how you interact with ads. It uses this to show and measure ads and to prevent fraud. Weather360 doesn't ask for permission to track you, so ads aren't targeted using your device's advertising identifier (IDFA). 💳Purchases
Subscriptions are sold and managed by Apple through the App Store. Apple tells the app whether Premium is active; we never receive your name, Apple ID or payment details. Manage or cancel your subscription in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions.
📱What stays on your device
- Forecasts are cached on your device, and shared with your widgets, so the app opens quickly.
- Plain-words summaries are written on your device by Apple Intelligence where available. Nothing is sent to us or to anyone else to write them.
- Settings, saved places and activities stay on your device.
- We don't include any analytics or tracking tools. If you choose to share crash reports with developers in iOS settings, Apple may share anonymous diagnostics with us.
🤖On Android
Weather360 for Android follows the same principles, with a few differences:
- Alerts are worked out on your phone. Rain and severe weather notifications are scheduled on your device, so the Android app doesn't send anything to our alert server.
- Location comes from Google Play services, with your permission.
- Maps and place search use OpenStreetMap, which receives the area shown or the place you search for.
- Plain-words summaries are written on your device by Google's on-device AI where available.
- Ads, when shown, come from Google AdMob, which may use your device's advertising ID. You can reset or delete it in your phone's Settings → Google → Ads.
- Purchases are handled by Google Play. Manage or cancel in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions. We never see your payment details.
🙅What we don't do
- Sell, rent or trade your information
- Build advertising profiles or track you across other companies' apps and websites
- Keep a history of where you've been
- Require an account, or collect your name, email, contacts or photos
🗑Keeping & deleting data
Data on your device is removed when you delete the app. Alert data on our server is kept while you use alerts, so we can keep sending them. Push tokens stop working when you turn off notifications or delete the app, and we don't use them for anything else.
To have your alert data deleted from our server sooner, email us from the support page and include the place you get alerts for.
🎛Your choices & rights
- Location: choose Never, While Using or Always, or turn off Precise Location, in Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Weather360. You can also use a searched place instead of your location.
- Notifications & Live Activities: turn them off in the app, or in Settings → Notifications → Weather360.
- Ads: if the free version is showing ads, Premium removes them.
- Access & deletion: wherever you live, including under GDPR in Europe and the CCPA in California, you can ask what we hold about your device and ask us to delete it. We'll respond within 30 days.
🧒Children
Weather360 is a general-audience app and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.
📝Changes to this policy
If we change how Weather360 uses data, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
